First Sunday in the Month - Fund Raising Walk

On Sunday 3rd December we met up for a walk from the Car Park of The Bush at Ovington, Nr Alresford. The walk was put together by Jacquie Radford & Lynsey Sweeney from the Micheldever Rights of Way Volunteers group. It began and ended at the lovely Bush Inn, Ovington – nestled on the banks of the River Itchen with a cosy and warm welcome for our fund-raising winter walkers. The 3.5-mile walk gently climbed to part of the disused railway line which now forms a part of the new Watercress Way footpath and then skirts Park Farm, some footbridges over the River Itchen, natural springs and Watercress Beds back to The Bush.We used short sections of the Three Castles Path, St Swithun’s Way and The King’s Way on this beautiful winter walk.Following the walk, we sat down to have lunch at the pub, enjoying at delicious Sunday Roast.
