The Watercress Festival and the Kings Worthy Fete

Our trustees met a large number of interested people in both Alresford and Kings Worthy. Many of whom were unaware of The Watercress Way. They are now!The display inside our new gazebo attracted plenty of attention and we gave out hundreds of leaflets. If you want a leaflet please download hereThere were many animated conversations with our team of trustees about the work the charity is doing in promoting the use and awareness of the old railway lines.Children enjoyed the colouring table and entered the “Name the Lamb” competition. Dogs enjoyed donated dog biscuits and drinks of water. Our trustee, Kim, has developed a recipe for Watercress Flapjacks which she entered into the Watercress Festival competition. Judge Laura Trant enjoyed their taste. Many people took away the recipe to try for themselves.
