Free events for all to enjoy and learn more about the Watercress Way, the marathon length circular trail N.E. of Winchester, following old railway lines & historic ancient droves.   1. 4.30 am for 4.45am startBirdsong Dawn Chorus walk Couch Green Recreation Ground, Martyr Worthy, S021 1EA. 4 miles, along the Mid-Hants/Watercress Line disused railway track & River Itchen.
  2. 10.00 am-3.00pm: 26 mls circular cycle ride on and off- road following the trail, starting Sutton Scotney, The Gratton Recreation ground, SO21 3LG. Coffee & cake break at The Cricketers, Alresford
  1. 00am-1.00pm Family Geocaching/Treasure Trail Worthy Down Halt. Parking Hookpit Farm Lane S021 2RR.  Bring a picnic (bonfire, weather permitting)
  1. 3.00- 6.00 pm Ecology and Heritage circular walk Sutton Scotney, The Gratton Recreation ground, SO213LG. 4/5 mls: newly cleared section of the Didcot-Southampton railway at Wonston Rd Bridge, River Dever, chalk downland droves with Jim Thompson, ecologist and Chris Cornell, railway historian. Stops at the Wonston Arms (CAMRA Pub of the Year) & Coach and Horses.
