3 New Interpretation Boards Installed

We are delighted to announce the installation of 3 brand new Interpretation Boards on The Watercress Way.They are located at Couch Green on the Martyr Worthy section, at South Wonston at the end of the path from Kings Worthy and at the Gratton in Sutton Scotney. We are grateful for the support from a variety of sponsors who have helped pay for these boards. In particular, Hampshire County Council, Itchen Valley Parish Council, Wonston Parish Council and Meridian Foods. We are very grateful to Steve Cooksey of Hampshire Printing Services for his technical help and patience in designing and producing the 3 boards. They have been a joint effort by the Trustees but have been co-ordinated brilliantly by Kim Adams who has worked tirelessly to bring this project to a successful conclusion. We hope you agree that they look good and are very informative about their locations.Chris Cornell, Peter Clarke and Jim Thompson have been invaluable in finding and checking the historical background of the two railway lines, The Mid-Hants and the Didcot-Newbury-Southampton.Please give us any feedback via info@thewatercressway.org.ukIt would be great if you could send us pictures of yourself at the various locations. Please indicate if you are happy for us to use them for publicity purposes on the website, Facebook or in leaflets.
